Rescue Stock Yard (RSY) is a domestic disaster relief non-profit founded in 1996 then registered in 2002. RSY's volunteer activity dates back to 1995 Kobe Earthquake, starting from support for distanced refugees in Nagoya. Its mission is to foster disaster volunteerism in Japan, and to develop an earthquake/flood safe community by collaboration with citizens, education or training courses. It has relief experiences in more than 30 sites including 2000 Tokai Heavy Rain, 2004 Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake and 2007 Noto Peninsular Earthquake.
